  • Mrs Zuhura S. Muro Mrs Zuhura S. Muro CHAIRMAN ×

    CHAIRMAN

    Mrs Zuhura Sinare Muro was appointed to the KCBT Board in July 2011. Mrs. Muro holds a Bachelor of Arts & Social Sciences from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and a Postgraduate Diplomas in Management and Entrepreneurship Development.  She is currently the Managing Director of Kazi Services Limited which provides HR solutions, management consultancy, and executive selection services in Tanzania. She has rich experience in Organizational Development, HR management, training and motivational speaking.  Before founding her own business, she was the Head of Human Resources for Celtel Tanzania Limited (now trading as Airtel) from 2001 until May 2007.

    Mrs. Muro is one of the founding trustees of Africa Leadership Initiative East Africa Foundation and is currently serving as its Executive Secretary. The Foundation is engaged in developing value-based leadership in East Africa. She is a fellow of Aspen Global Leadership Network. Mrs. Muro serves as the Board Chairperson of Mwananchi Communication Limited in Tanzania, member of Nation Media Group in Kenya, and Board Secretary of Arusha Modern Schools Limited.

    DIRECTOR

    John Nyerere is a HHH (Fulbright) fellow and holds an MBA, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Economics, MBA General Management and Bachelor of Arts Economics and Sociology. He lectures on business management at the United States International University. He has experience in corporate planning, operations management and transformation leadership and his key technical competencies include strategy development and economics.

    She joined the Board of KCB Bank Tanzania Limited from February 2016. She is currently the Director of Audit at National Housing Corporation, a position she has held since 2011. Professionally, she is a Certified Public Accountant since 2002 as well as an active member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors, the Institute of Internal Auditors Tanzania Chapter.

    Prior to her current role, she served as the Chief Internal Auditor at the Tanzania Education Authority; A Senior Internal Auditor at the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA); and was an accountant at the Ministry of Finance. She is also serving as an Executive Director at the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Contractors Registration Board (CRB) and Tanzania Mining Audit Agency (TMAA)

  • Dr. Alex Nguluma Dr. Alex Nguluma DIRECTOR ×

    DIRECTOR

    Dr. Nguluma joined the Board of KCB Bank Tanzania Limited in October 2015. He is currently the Managing Partner of ENS Africa Tanzania Attorneys. Professionally, he is an Advocate, Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. He is an active member of the Tanganyika Law Society, Zanzibar Law Society and the East African Law Society. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Dar es Salaam.

    He previously served as the Managing Partner of Rex Attorneys for over 15 years; An Associate Director at PriceWaterHouseCoopers and a Tutorial Assistant and Senior Lecturer at the University of Dar Es Salaam.

    He is also a Director at Alliance Insurance Company Limited.

    DIRECTOR

    John Ulanga is the Country Director of TradeMark East Africa in Tanzania (www.trademarkea.com). TradeMark East Africa is a not-for-profit aid for trade organisation established in 2010. Before joining TradeMark East Africa, John Ulanga was the Vice President, External Affairs and Sustainability for BG East Africa. Before joining BG Tanzania, Mr. Ulanga was the Executive Director of the Foundation for Civil Society and before then Mr. Ulanga worked with the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF).

    Mr. Ulanga is the Chairman of the University Council of the Hubert Kairuki Memorial University, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tanzania Financial Services for the Underserved Settlements (TAFSUS); Member of the Board of Directors of Mwananchi Communications Limited (publishers of The Citizen, Mwananchi and Mwanaspoti Newspapers); Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Tanzania Media Foundation, a Board Member of KCB Bank Tanzania. Mr. Ulanga is also a Member of the Africa Policy Advisory Board ONE Campaign.  He is also a Fellow of the African Leadership Initiative, East Africa and the Aspen Global Leadership Network of the Aspen Institute, and a 2012 Senior Fellow of the Centre on Philanthropy and Civil Society Studies at the Graduate Centre of the City University of New York. Mr. Ulanga holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Management majoring in Accounting from the University of Dar es Salaam, an Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices from the Graduate Institute in Geneva and he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA – T).

  • Ms. Georgina Malombe Ms. Georgina Malombe DIRECTOR ×

    DIRECTOR

    Georgina Malombe is an audit professional. She holds a Bachelors degree in Agribusiness Management from Egerton University and a Master of Business Administration, Finance Option from the University of Nairobi. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA (K)) and professional trainer. She also holds a Certificate in Arbitration. Her key technical competencies include Audit Quality Assurance, Auditing, Accounting, Finance and Financial Reporting.

    Malombe is a Member of the Group Supply Chain, Audit and Risk committees and serves as Chairman of the IT and Innovation committee.

    Malombe currently serves in the Board of the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK) as the Vice Chairperson. She is also a member of Professional Trainers Association of Kenya (PTAK). Previously, she worked for The Registration of Accountants Board as the Executive Officer, The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) as Manager, Public Policy and Governance as well as the Head of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. Malombe is currently the Managing Partner of audit firm, Gemal and Company.

    Cosmas Kimario is a Banker by profession. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Masters of International Management (MIM) from Thunderbird – The American Graduate School of International Management USA as well as Bachelor of Commerce and Management (B’Com) Degree from the University of Dar es Salaam where he was the best student from the class of 1994. Mr. Kimario is a Lifetime Member of Beta Gama Sigma – the Honor Society for Best World Business Students, a Lifetime Member of Phi Sigma Iota – the International Foreign Language Honor Society and also a Lifetime Member Pi Sigma Alfa –the International Studies Honor Society.
    Mr. Kimario is also trained in the areas of Foreign Exchange, Derivatives and Credit Management.
    Mr. Kimario is an experienced expert in the Banking industry with over 20 years of service in the sector holding different top positions. He has worked in different capacities in different countries including: The USA, The UK, Nigeria, Senegal and Kenya. He has specialized in structured products, Project Financing, Corporate Financing, Treasury, Money Market and Foreign Exchange Products and Derivatives Products and Public Housing. Mr. Kimario is one of the pioneers who introduced Foreign Exchange Options and Derivatives in many markets in Africa including Tanzania, Nigeria, Uganda and Zambia.

    HEAD OF LEGAL & COMPANY SECRETARY

    With practical experience in legal issues pertaining to banking and financial institutions Antonia joined KCB Bank Tanzania in December 2017. 

     Previously, Antonia had the privilege to work with the Corporate, Project Finance and Banking & Financial Services Department at Rex Attorneys (currently known as ENS Africa Tanzania Attorneys) a reputable Law firm based in Dar es Salaam. She then joined the Legal and Company Secretary Department at National Bank of Commerce Limited (NBC) as a legal counsel.

     Antonia is the holder of Bachelor Degree of Laws from Ruaha University College (A constituent college of St. Augustine University of Tanzania).  Professionally, Antonia is an Advocate, Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths in Tanzania Mainland. She is also an active member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East African Law Society.

    Cosmas Kimario is a Banker by profession.     HEAD OF FINANCE

    Willis has over 18 years professional experience across Finance, Audit and Project management. He joined KCB Bank Tanzania with effect from September 2017 from KCB Bank Kenya. He acted as the Head of Finance in KCB Bank Uganda. Between 2011 and 2017, he was a Business Finance Manager in charge of  Corporate, Treasury, Mortgage and Credit at KCB Bank Kenya.
     
    Prior to joining KCB Bank Kenya in 2004, he worked at Ernst & Young Kenya where he was involved in auditing and accountancy assignments of various companies and industries both as a team leader and as a team member for a period of five years.
     
    He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Option) from the University of Nairobi and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.
  • Mr. Barry Chale Mr. Barry Chale DIRECTOR, CORPORATE BANKING ×

    DIRECTOR, CORPORATE BANKING

    Barry brings on board banking knowledge gathered over 17 years. He previously worked for 6 years in various operation units within Citibank before moving into corporate sales and relationship management. Barry then progressed to be a Senior Relationship Manager in Citibank and afterwards joined Standard Chartered Bank. In Standard Chartered Bank, he worked as a Head of department where he accepted the challenge of leading and growing the portfolio of financial Institutions and government relationships. Barry holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and Master of Business Administration (Finance).

    HEAD, OPERATIONS & IT

    He joined KCB Bank Tanzania Limited in August, 2010, from Bank of Baroda (T) Ltd where he worked as their first Risk Manager and established the Risk Management Function. He also worked for EXIM Bank in Credit department for several years before joining Bank of Baroda where he successfully established the Risk Management Function. He also worked with Tanzindia Assurance Company Ltd as Credit Controller before starting his banking career. He has more than Six years banking experience mostly in Credit, Investment, and Risk management. He is a graduate in B.Com in Finance (Hons) from the University of Dar Es Salaam, MSc. in Accounting & Finance from Mzumbe University, and is an associate member of the Tanzania Institute of Bankers (TIOB) as a Certified Professional Banker (CPB). In sports, he likes and plays football.

    She joined KCB Bank in August, 2009. She holds an MBA from East and Central Africa Management Institute (ESAMI). She is also an Economist graduate from Aligarh University – India. Before joining KCB she had worked with Exim bank (T) Limited in various capacities and left the bank as the Head of Marketing and Communications also heading corporate sales. Before Exim Bank she worked with International Communications Systems Limited as Senior Marketing & Sales Executive also heading hard ware Unit and InfoTech Computers Limited as Marketing & Sales Executive.

    He was appointed Head of Retail Banking KCB Bank Tanzania, on 20th January, 2014. He has over 20 years’ experience in banking having worked in both Retail and Corporate Divisions at Senior management roles. Prior joining KCB in 2007 he worked with Cooperative Bank of Kenya where he joined as a management trainee. He holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Management from University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Commerce from Kurukshetra University.

    Mrs. Fauqiya has a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Out University and a Degree in Engineering from University of Dares salaam , College of Engineering . She is a Human Resources professional for over 8 years. Fauqiya Shareef has progressive Senior Management experience in Human Resource Management and is a strategic business consultant involved in developing and implementing HR solutions.

    HEAD OF CREDIT

    He has 16 years banking experience, 14 of which have been in credit related roles both covering credit management and relationship management. He joined KCBT Limited from I&M Bank Limited where he was the Head of Credit. He previously worked in various operations and client relationship roles with CFC Bank and Co-operative Bank of Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Mathematics & Chemistry) from the University of Nairobi and an MBA (Banking and Finance) from Moi University. He is a qualified Associate of the Kenya Institute of Bankers and has attended various professional courses.

    He joined KCB Bank Tanzania in January 2014 as the Head of Risk Management. He has over 13 years in Senior Management roles in Audit, Accounting & Risk. He previously worked for NBC Limited, PwC and TPC in various Capacities. He is an Associate Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice (ACPA ‘PP’) and Certified Risk Management Specialist recognized by International Academy of Business and Financial Management (IABFM), he also holds Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from the Institute of Finance Management an affiliate of the Open University of Tanzania (Tanzania), University of Avinashillingham(India), Strathclyde University (U.K), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) – (India) and Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) – Ireland.

    He joined the bank in April 2005 as the Treasury Bank office manager at KCB. He previously worked with Stanbic Bank, Standard chartered Bank and Diamond Trust bank for more than 5 years. He has a B`COM accounting Degree from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and MBA Finance from Open University on Tanzania. He has attended various advanced courses and workshops in banking and finance. He has over 15 years’ experience in banking industries holding various positions.

    HEAD OF SAHL BANKING

    His career started in 2002 as a Risk Analyst for Discover Financial Services in Ohio, USA. He then worked in various Accounting & Finance roles at Rogers Communications Inc. of Ontario Canada from 2004 to 2007. Rashid started his Banking career at KCB Bank Tanzania in 2008 as a Corporate Banking Credit Analyst. He then joined Stanbic Bank Tanzania in 2011 as a Relationship Manager in Corporate and Investment Banking division (CIB), of which he later took over the role of Client Coverage Manager (in CIB) overseeing Mining, Metal, Power & Infrastructure sector portfolio. With more than 15 years of accounting, finance and banking background, Rashid rejoined KCB Bank in May 2016 as the Head of Sahl Banking.

    Rashid holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting from Franklin University, Ohio (USA), he is also a Certified Islamic Finance Executive (CIFE) from ETHICA Institute of Islamic Finance based in Dubai, UAE.
